Rett UK Roadshow

In spring 2016 Rett UK are organising a Rett Syndrome Roadshow event in Scotland, in coordination with RSAS. We need to know what topics families and professionals want to see covered at this event. Please send any suggestions to Rett UK directly either through their Facebook page or via the contact form on the Rett UK website. Please contact us to register an interest in attending.

 
C2C Ultra for Rett 2016

Following the success of the 2014 Coast to Coast Ultra, a 100 miles cycle across Scotland, arrangements are being made for a similar event to take place next year, exact date TBC. There are currently two cyclists showing interest in participating. Please contact us if you would like to get involved!

Christmas Fayre 2015

We ran a stall at the Annual Charities Christmas Fayre on Tuesday 17th November in the City Chambers, George Square, Glasgow as a fundraising event.

 
RSE 2015

RSAS is a member of Rett Syndrome Europe (RSE) and our chairman, Graeme Dallachy attended the conference in Rome 30th Oct - 1st Nov as the representative of our Association.

Family Weekend 2015

The Family Weekend took place again this year at Badaguish, on the weekend of 8-9 August 2015.

 
Festival of Neuroscience 2015

British Neurological Science Association, Festival of Neuroscience 2015 12 – 15 April 2015, EICC Edinburgh Rett Syndrome Association Scotland has helped fund Drs Mark Bailey and Stuart Cobb to hold a symposium “A Gene Therapy for CNS Disorders” at this event. The event featured talks on their RS work as well as talks by experts on gene therapy for other genetic disorders of the brain. It was designed to raise awareness amongst Neuroscientists and Neurology Clinicians about the potential of these approaches as well as the challenges that lie ahead.

RSE 2014

As members of Rett Syndrome Europe (RSE) we were pleased that our Chairman, Graeme Dallachy, was able to attend the 2014 RSE conference in Vienna which took place in October, as both a representative of RSAS and as a parent.
